Fear of Fortnite’s Fortnitemares Halloween Event Will Give You Goosebumps

Halloween is not only an exciting time for thrill seekers and supernatural lovers, but it also brings interesting Easter eggs and add-ons for gamers. Fortnite has done precisely that by launching its Halloween event – Fortnitemares. This event comes in the wake of the recent release of Fortnite Season 6 (which, by the way, is a roaring success) and the successful reception towards a similar Halloween event hosted last year.

As per the update on the PlayStation’s homepage, the Fortnitemares event will kick off on 24th October 2018 (at 11:00) and conclude on 4th November 2018 (at 0:00). The last date for signing up for the event is November 4. According to sources, Epic Games has something equally epic in store for this Halloween. New and engaging Fortnitemares challenges are all lined up for the event, which will reward players with “spooky rewards.”

The rumors of the event had been circulating from the moment the official Fortnite Twitter handle started releasing cryptic teasers through tweets. They all mostly pointed towards Halloween even contained images of what may be in store. The zombie cowboy picture has fans speculating that the event could be available in a dual player mode. However, it is still unsure whether the duo play mode means that players will be playing with their friends or against them. Additionally, whether the game will be available on unlimited time mode or set periods is also yet to be known.

What is conclusively known is the fact that Fortnite is expected to release fresh, theme-based skins soon. Few images revealed that the game includes a lot of shaky grounds, which is bound to make aiming and shooting a challenge. Another teaser also hinted at possibly limited ammo available during the game. Regular players may have also noticed that the Floating Island has attracted all the runes and replaced it with large empty craters.

Even though nothing is concretely known about Fortnitemares, one thing is definite – The announcement of the Halloween event has driven Fortnite lovers crazy with anticipation!
